Welcome to Dream by Nomly ("Dream," "we," "us," or "our"). Nomly ("Developer") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Dream by Nomly (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address when you create an account.
  • Profile Information: Name, age, and gender provided during onboarding.
  • Dream Journal Entries: The text content of dreams you record in the App.
  • Chat Messages: Messages you send to Luna, our AI dream guide.
  • Voice Data: Voice recordings used for speech-to-text dream input, processed on-device. Voice data is not transmitted to our servers.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage Analytics: App usage patterns, feature interactions, session duration, and crash reports.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide AI-powered dream interpretation and personalized insights.
  • To maintain and improve the App's features and performance.
  • To process your subscription and manage your account.
  • To generate dream artwork based on your dream descriptions.
  • To send you push notifications (with your consent).
  • To analyze usage trends and improve user experience.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication, database storage, analytics, and crash reporting. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Firebase.
  • OpenAI: Dream text is sent to OpenAI's API for AI-powered interpretation. OpenAI processes this data according to their API data usage policies and does not use API inputs for training.
  • Adapty: Subscription management and in-app purchase processing. Adapty processes transaction data in accordance with their privacy policy.
  • SiliconFlow: AI image generation for dream artwork. Dream descriptions are sent to generate visual representations.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reports and performance data to improve app stability. Crashlytics may collect device identifiers, crash traces, and performance metrics automatically.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase infrastructure provided by Google. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to Erasure: You can request deletion of your personal data.
  • Right to Restriction: You can request restriction of processing of your personal data.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than the country in which you reside. Specifically, data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our third-party service providers (including Firebase and OpenAI) operate their servers. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country.

By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other jurisdictions as described in this Privacy Policy. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal data remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

9. Do Not Track

The App does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. At this time, there is no universally accepted standard for how companies should respond to DNT signals. If a standard is established in the future, we may revise our approach accordingly.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App settings. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
